Description

Zoo Med’s Aquatic Newt Food is a high protein, soft-moist food developed by zoo nutritionists specifically for aquatic newts and axolotls.

Instructions

Zoo Med’s Aquatic Newt Food is designed for aquatic species of newts and axolotls living primarily in water. Feed 3-4 pellets per newt or axolotl once or twice per day. Drop pellets in front of their nose (in the water) for optimum feeding response. Remove any uneaten food after 2 hours.

Captive Care Recommendations

Always use dechlorinated water, use Zoo Med’s ReptiSafe® Water Conditioner to safely treat tap water. Maintain a clean aquarium by using a filter, like Zoo Med’s Paludarium 20 Submersible Filter, and by doing a 30% water change weekly. It is not recommended to handle your amphibian friend(s) as this can cause undue stress. Always wash your hands after interacting with your amphibian or their enclosure.
