With the arrival of hot summer, oxygen-consuming bacteria are bound to increase dramatically. Besides diligently cleaning and filtering the water, we must also pay attention to increasing water acidity. During this time, we must add large amounts of highly alkaline substances to maintain a balanced pH. The water's pH must be maintained at or above 7.5 degrees Celsius.

When the water becomes acidic, the calcium carbonate in the oyster shells dissolves, neutralizing the pH and maintaining a slightly alkaline level suitable for the growth of koi fish. This helps maintain the fish's vibrant colors and enhances the luster of its scales. Kachibei is produced according to the highest Japanese standards and rigorously controlled. It is refined and fired at 100 degrees Celsius to ensure 100% solubility in water. During the decomposition process, it slowly releases a large amount of alkaline substances, neutralizing the acidity in the water and achieving a simple and safe balance.

The oyster shells are manually disinfected, rinsed, baked at high temperatures, and exposed to sunlight, ensuring natural quality without polluting the water. The amount is economical, requiring only 1-3 kilograms per ton of water.

By placing oyster shells in the appropriate dosage, acidic water (pH <= 6) can be transformed to slightly alkaline (pH = 7.3-7.5) in just 24 hours.

Oyster shells contain 80%-95% calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and calcium sulfate. Placing oyster shells in a fish pond increases the calcium content of the water, which benefits the color of the fish. Oyster shells also have a strong decontamination and descaling effect, particularly degrading pond dirt.
