These bulbs need ballast of the same watt strength as the bulb.
A HID bulb is powered by a ballast, bulb and ballast must have the same wattage, but must not be of the same mark. For example, a Mega-Ray can use a ballast from Solar Raptor and vice versa.
HID bulb from Mega-Ray has a large light scattering angle of 60 or 90 °, which means that larger area is illuminated.
